A Journey of Love: Free Medical Check-ups and Medication Distribution in Sủng Trà, Mèo Vạc

On February 22, 2025, in celebration of Vietnam Doctors' Day (February 27, 1955 - February 27, 2025), Duc Minh General Hospital, in collaboration with Hà Giang Youth Union, organized a free medical check-up and medication distribution program for the people of Sủng Trà Commune, Mèo Vạc District. This is one of the annual activities of the hospital, aimed at bringing quality healthcare services to the community, especially in difficult regions where access to modern healthcare services is limited.

Compassionate and Professional Healthcare

Equipped with advanced medical devices such as endoscopy machines and X-ray equipment, the medical team at Duc Minh General Hospital provided health consultations and check-ups for 260 local residents. The doctors identified and treated various diseases, ranging from respiratory infections to more serious conditions.

Among the patients, 23 individuals were advised to be hospitalized for timely treatment, helping prevent the escalation of their conditions. The medical team also distributed medications to the people and provided guidance on how to use them effectively for long-term health.

Community Solidarity and Support

This event was not just about medical care; it was a reflection of the community spirit and solidarity. Every smile from the residents after receiving medical care, every thank you expressed by the people, serves as motivation for Duc Minh General Hospital to continue supporting community healthcare.

In rural areas like Sủng Trà, access to healthcare is often limited due to geographical and economic barriers. Many residents have to travel long distances to receive even basic medical attention. This initiative aims to bridge that gap by bringing essential healthcare services right to their doorstep. By doing so, it ensures that everyone, regardless of their location or financial status, has the opportunity to receive the care they need.
